Shapeshifteris a distinctive, self-titled contemporary world sound from a distinctive and contemporary world fusion phenomenon. Alain Eskinasi, Aziz Paige and Richard Hardy braid together the cultural influences of Celtic, Eastern, African, European and American roots into a techno-tribal trance rhythm that’s been described as “an irresistible invitation to move.”Alain Eskinasi, a multi-instrumentalist, poly-rhythmic drummer and MIDI-genius, came to America from Holland with the West African ‘Soto Koto’ band. Eskinasi played and created dance mixes with such greats as Craig Chaquico (Jefferson Starship, Grammy nominee), Jon Anderson (Yes), and Neil Schon (Journey). He has worked on more than 40 album projects, including Shaman’s Breath by Professor Trance. His wide range of styles, list of credits and three solo albums – Chakradancer, Brainscapes and Many Worlds, One Tribe – have firmly established him in the World Rhythm and Dance genre.

Aziz Paige, a sitarist, songwriter, producer and composer, is devoted to the Healing Power of Sound. Since 1972, Aziz has been creating his own unique East-West fusion that is a seamless, tranceable style perfect for dancing. His spontaneous style brings excitement to his performances. Aziz has been featured on MTV and has contributed to a number of film scores.

Richard Hardy, a versatile woodwind player par excellence, has lived all over the US and in Russia.
